Yehia Hamed Abdel Samea was named on May 7th as Egypt’s new minister of Investment, succeeding Dr. Osama Saleh. Early Life & Education: Born in 1978, Abdel Samea graduated from the Faculty of Al-Alsun (Foreign Languages) in 1999. He has obtained his master’s in Public Administration, from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology. The new minister has also obtained a Sales Diploma from the American University in Cairo (AUC). Abdel Samea was active in some of community service organizations mainly working on learning youth and micro financing. Early Career: Abdel Samea is Advisor for the Egyptian presidency for projects management and governmental co ordination. On December 22nd, the Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi has met with CIB's Managing Director Hisham Ramez. News were circulated that the president asked Ramez to be the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) when Farouk El-Okdah resigns. Ramez is a prominent Egyptian banker with 29 years of experience in international banking with a strong track record in the areas of Asset and Liability Management, Investment Banking and Risk Management. Hisham Ramez has been the vice chairman and managing director of Commercial International Bank (CIB) since December 2011. When CBE approved the appointment of Hisham Ramez as vice chairman and managing director at CIB, Commercial International Bank gained the most in almost a week. The shares rose as much as 3 percent to EGP 21.20 before closing at EGP 20.71 at 2:30 p.m. in Cairo, valuing the bank at EGP 12.3 billion. Career Life: Ramez was the Deputy Governor and Vice Chairman of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) from July 2008 to November 2011. His professional career began in 1982 as a foreign exchange and money market trader with Bank of America in Cairo. Muhammad Badei Abdel Maguid Samy, 69 years old, is the 8th Supreme Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood. He was born in 1943. He has succeeded Mohammad Mahdi Akef in January 2010. In 1965 Muhammed Badei earned his PHD also in veterinary medicine. Muhammad Badei is married to Somya El Shenawy, daughter of pilot officer Muhammad Ali El Shenawy.  He has 2 sons and a daughter.His Career Life Muhammad Badei was born in the industrial city of Mahalla al-Kubra on August 7, 1943. He took a degree in veterinary medicine at Cairo in 1965. Then, he was appointed lecture at the University of Asyut. Badie received a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Zagazig University in 1979 and joined the faculty in 1983.  He continued to work part time as a professor of pathology at the veterinary school of Beni Suef University. Mohammed Khairat Saad El-Shater (born 4 May 1950) is an Egyptian engineer, businessman and Islamist political activist. He was born on May 4 1950, in  Dakahlia. He was the Muslim Brotherhood's candidate for the Egyptian presidential election in 2012 before disqualification by the election commission. Previously, he was the deputy chairman of the Brotherhood. Education, Life and Career Khairat El-Shater joined the youth wing of the Nasserist Arab Socialist Union at age 16. He studied engineering at the Alexandria University. He also has a bachelor degree in Anthropology from Ain Shams University. He has a master's in Construction Management from Mansoura University and acquired diplomas in Islamic Studies, Business Administration, Social Work and NGOs, and International Marketing. After serving in the military for two years, El-Shater studied for a Master's degree and worked as a lecturer at the Mansoura University.  Khairat al-Shater's political activism started in 1966, when he was still in secondary school. He joined the Socialist Youth Organization and, in 1967, became a founding member of al-Gama`a al-Islamiyya (the Islamic Group) in Alexandria, "where he played a pivotal role in bringing about Islamic awakening in the early Seventies. In 1968,  he participated in the student protests against the government. After president Anwar Sadat's assassination in 1981 El-Shater was exiled as an Islamist dissident, and left for England. General Ahmed Gamal El Din, Egypt’s minister of interior, was born on November 11th, 1952 in Al Gharbiyah governorate. He graduated from the Police Academy in 1974 with a license in law and policing. His uncle, Abdel Ahad Gamal El Din, was a major member of the National Democratic Party under the Mubarak regime. Minister Gamal El-Din is married with three sons, Hossam (Police Officer), Abdullah (Engineer) and Marwan (Dentist). His Career Life  He began his career in Criminal Investigation Dept. in El-Fayoum Provincial Police H.Q., Northern Sinai Provincial Police H.Q. in 1975, and Southern Sinai Provincial Police H.Q. in1979. Later was responsible for social security in General Department of Juveniles crimes, then he was responsible for economic security in General Department of Electricity police in1982. He worked in Qena Provincial Police H.Q. as a chief of Follow-up and Criminal Statistics Department in 1992. Minister Gamal El-Din spent much of his career working in senior positions in police. He has 25 years of Banking experience.   Education and Career Life Osama Saleh graduated from the Faculty of Commerce, Cairo University, in 1982.Saleh was the Regional Manager of American Express Bank Ltd. Egypt. He spent more than fourteen years of board General Management experience; Marketing full range of financial services (Corporate/Retail/Consumer/Treasury/Finance and Human Resources).  He is specialized in Corporate Banking, Retail Banking, Credit Decisions, Work-Outs, Portfolio Reviews and Corporate Finance transactions. Dr. Yasser Ali Al-Sayed (born 1967) is the official spokesman for the Egypt’s president Mohamed Morsi. Education & Early Career: Ali was graduated from the faculty of medicine, Ain Shams University. He has joined the Muslim Brotherhood in 1987. In 2001, He started working in one of the hospitals in Saudi Arabia until the Egyptian revolution was sparked off in 2011.  Ali is also a poet and writer. He used to be one of the revolutionary Iraqi poet Ahmed Matar’s students. Ali was not a well-known figure in the political or Islamist arena before revolution.Political Career: Ali started his political career after being named as the spokesman for the MB’s Justice and Freedom Party (FJP); the party has been established after January 25th revolution. When the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) nominated Khairat El-Shater to run for the presidency, Ali was chosen to be the spokesman for his presidential campaign and to talk about the MB’s platform “The Renaissance”. He remained in his position, when El-Shater was disqualified from the presidential election and Mohamed Morsi became MB’s new candidate. Ali has been also chosen to become the general coordinator for the MB platform Renaissance. Ali had written a number of articles to introduce the MB’s Renaissance platform.Presidential Official Spokesman: Yasser Ali can deal with the journalists and media. He interfered many times to solve the problems between the campaign and the press during the presidential elections period. He is distinguished with easiness in dealing with matters. Education and Career Life Hatem Galal Dowidar, who is currently the CEO of Vodafone Egypt S.A.E, was born in 1969. He has a B.Sc. in Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering from Cairo University and an MBA as well as participating in senior management executive programs in IMD and LBS. His father, Galal Dowidar, chairman of the Egyptian Travel Writers Association, is a former editor of Al Akhbar newspaper, and his mother, Yousria, is head of publicity with EgyptAir. He has a sister, Hanan, who lives in Switzerland and he is married to Dalia. They have three daughters, Zeina, Hana and the newborn Farida. Hatem Dowidar first started working in 1991 with AEG, the electrical parts division of Daimler Benz, as a sales engineer. In 1993 he obtained a postgraduate diploma in industrial engineering from the American University in Cairo. Between July 1994 and September 1999 he occupied various management posts with Procter and Gamble in Egypt and in 1999 also obtained a second postgraduate diploma from the American University in Cairo, this time in management. He then joined Vodafone Egypt where he spent the next four and a half years as marketing director but also found time to obtain an MBA in marketing from the American University in Cairo. In March, 2004, he moved to Oxford, UK, to Vodafone's head office to fill a vacancy as global director, Voice Propositions, following the setting up of the group marketing function the year before. Hisham Ezz Al-Arab has been leading CIB since 2002 as Chairman and Managing Director.
