Kuwaiti Dinar Jumps Against Egypt Pound To EGP 25; Early Trading

The Kuwaiti dinar has hit a new remarkable record against the Egyptian pound during the early trading of Tuesday. The Kuwaiti dinar's price rose by 0.07% to hit EGP 24.1017 for buying and EGP 25.0136 for selling, compared to Monday's levels of EGP 24.0839 for buying and EGP 24.9952 for selling. Belal Khalil - Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Exchange Division of the Federation of the Chamber of Commerce - said the rise in the Kuwaiti dinar's price is coinciding with another rise in the US currency, for the latter has hit EGP 6.94. Khalil explained that the Kuwaiti dinar's price against the US dollar is US$ 3.4. Khalil further noted that the Kuwaiti currency has hit a new record crossing the level of EGP 25 in forex firms. Dollar Steadies Against Egypt Pound, Yen Surges 1%: Early Trading

During the early trading of Tuesday, the US dollar’s exchange rate steadied against Egyptian pound in banks at EGP 6.9176 for buying and EGP 6.9477 for selling. On the other hand, the pound sterling has surged to EGP 10.5162 for buying and EGP 10.9867 for selling, compared to Monday's levels of EGP 10.499 for buying and EGP 10.9694 for selling. The Japanese yen’s price also went up as the ¥100 hit on Tuesday EGP 6.9809 for buying and EGP 7.2911 for selling, compared to Monday's levels of EGP 6.9102 (buy price) and EGP 7.2151 (sell price). Meanwhile, the exchange rates of Euro and Swiss franc dropped against the Egyptian pound. US Dollar Rises Against Egypt Pound, Hits EGP 6.94 In Banks

The US dollar’s exchange rate in banks against the Egyptian pound rose by one piaster and half on Monday to EGP 6.9176 for buying and EGP 6.9477 for selling, opposed to Sunday’s levels of EGP 6.9033 for buying and EGP 6.9334 for selling. The rise in the US currency’s price coincides with the Egyptian Central Bank’s 50th FX auctions to local banks of US$ 40 million on Monday. During the early trading on Monday, the US dollar’s exchange rate has steadied against Egyptian pound in banks at EGP 6.9033 for buying and EGP 6.9334 for selling. Euro has reached EGP 8.9836 for buying and EGP 9.3867 for selling. The pound sterling has hit EGP 10.4703 for buying and EGP 10.9389 for selling. For the Swiss franc, it has opened at EPG 7.3522 for buying and EGP 7.6872 for selling. Moreover, the Japanese yen’s ¥100 hit on Monday EGP 6.9042 for buying and EGP 7.2096 for selling. For the Arab currencies, the Kuwaiti dinar has recorded this morning EGP 24.0383 for buying and EGP 24.9481 for selling, while the Saudi riyal has hit EGP 1.8355 for buying and EGP 1.9117 for selling. Egypt Gold Prices Jump On Early Monday, 21-Carat Hits EGP 287.62

The gold prices in the Egyptian market on Monday have rose by 3 pounds during the early trading. According to initial estimates released this morning, the Twenty-four carat gold is sold for EGP 328.69 in local markets; while the widely-spread in Egypt Twenty-one carat gold is sold for EGP 287.62. For the 18 carat gold, it is sold on Monday for EGP 246.54. The 14 carat gold is sold for around EGP 191.78; while the 10 carat gold is for EGP 137.01. For his part,  Nady Naguib - member of the gold traders chamber – has attributed the rise in gold prices in Egypt to the increase in citizens’ turnout to buy the precious metal. More»
Egypt Black Market Receives Crushing Blow As Dollar Falls To EGP 7.30

The US dollar’s exchange rate has fell against the Egyptian pound in black market to EGP 7.30 on Sunday. Mohamed Hassan El-Abyad - Head of the Foreign Exchange Section at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce – said the US dollar’s price in the black market has dropped. El-Abyad attributed the sudden fall in the US currency’s price in the black market to the Egyptian Central Bank’s new measures adopted through last week as regard to injecting around US$ 600 million aiming to provide the foreign currency and organize the country’s exchange market. It is worth mentioning that the CBE governor Hesham Ramez said, in a recent interview with one of the TV shows, the bank will be dealing the speculators a crushing blow within the upcoming period in order to organize the exchange market in Egypt. Gold prices in the Egyptian market on early Saturday have rose by one pound. The Twenty-four carat gold is sold for EGP 312.06 in local markets; while the widely-spread in Egypt Twenty-one carat gold is sold for EGP 273.53. For the 18 carat gold, it is sold on Thursday for EGP 234.48. According to initial estimates released this morning, the gold pound has hit EGP 2145.0; while the silver’s price reached EGP 6.38 per gram. The Twenty-four carat gold is sold for EGP 305.37 in local markets; while the widely-spread in Egypt Twenty-one carat gold is sold for EGP 267.20. For the 18 carat gold, it is sold on Thursday for EGP 229.03. According to initial estimates released this morning, the gold pound has hit EGP 2141.0; while the silver’s price reached EGP 5.33 per gram. During the early trading of Thursday, the US dollar’s exchange rate steadied against Egyptian pound in banks at EGP 6.8921 for buying and EGP 6.9222 for selling. The Saudi riyal’s price also remained with no change at EGP 1.8326 for buying and EGP 1.9086 for selling; while the UAE dirham steadied at EGP 1.875 for buying and EGP 1.9489 for selling. On the other hand, the exchange rates of euro, pound sterling, Swiss franc and Kuwait dinar have dropped against the Egyptian pound. Euro fell to EGP 8.9553 for buying and EGP 9.3565 for selling, compared to Wednesday’s levels of EGP 9.0335 for buying and EGP 9.4382 for selling. US Dollar Steadies Against Egypt Pound In Early Trading, Yen Falls 0.5%

During the early trading on Wednesday, the exchange rate of the US dollar in banks against the Egyptian pound has steadied at EGP 6.886 for buying and EGP 6.9165 for selling. The exchange rates for the Arab currencies Saudi riyal and UAE dirham have witnessed no change on early Wednesday. Saudi riyal has steadied at EGP 1.8311 for buying and EGP 1.9071 for selling. The UAE dirham has maintained the last day’s same levels at EGP 1.8733 for buying and EGP 1.947 for selling. Meanwhile, the exchange rates of euro, pound sterling, and Kuwaiti dinar have surged against the Egyptian pound. Euro increased to EGP 9.0364 for buying and EGP 9.4405 for selling, compared to Tuesday’s levels of EGP 9.0007 for buying and EGP 9.4025 for selling.
