Greek Finance Minister Vassilios Rapanos will resign from that post, the Associated Press reported Monday. Though no reason was given, Rapanos was rushed to a hospital Friday, suffering from dizziness, severe abdominal pain and nausea.
Rapanos, who had previously served as chairman of the National Bank of Greece, had been the country's finance minister for less than a week. His exit comes as Greece and other European nations are struggling to resolve a debt crisis that has gripped the continent for several months.
